The Pond is located in Rockingham Western Australia and attracts kite surfers from all over the world.
Every year our local council would carry out sand works to keep a channel for small boats open and not get filled by incoming sand; however, last year (Jan 2025) they decided to stop doing that as it was costing too much and as a result nature has taken over. Many claimed that it would be the end for kite surfers; however, it has made it more popular, in fact yesterday there would have been at 50 kite surfers enjoying both The Pond and the open ocean. Image 1 is from Jan 25 and image 2 is from Aug 25 and the rest of the images are of some of the kite surfers enjoying themselves there.
