Subtle lighting, can't see me replicating anything as classy as that!
I promise to take the cam to work tomorrow & see what ours looks like - might have to rely on the fridge for side-lighting. Could just be nasty.

:ROFLMAO:

I told you, I only use the filter and drip method.
That looks like an alter to the bean..
oh, the Baan is it?
hang around and maybe we can urge you to get a machine :D

before this I got the nespresso. found out about it because they kept playing the commercial at the theaters

thank you thank you. its really nothing. just a 1 light in my room that is aimed to the white ceiling and the candle. Helps to shoot at a slow shutter as well hehe. this shows 0.6 secs

4am here. Baan is obviously in love with that thing. He's posted pics of it in many places and probably will again. He's even fully staged and professionally lit the shoot to further enhance the subject. Don't believe that it was a simple bounce lighting. Probably a full photo crew there with umbrellas, snoots and plenty of dust removing and post-processing work.

I do what is sometimes referred to as Cowboy Coffee. Grind the pre-roasted beans somewhat medium as if you would for the French Press method. In the mean time, boil water in a very large tall sauce pan. Remove water sauce pan from heat. Dump the grind into the water and lightly stir for about 7 minutes. Pour the water and coffee mix through a very fine metal pasta strainer into another pan (I use an old glass coffee carafe). Toss the used grinds, or use as garden fertilizer. The carafe now holds filtered coffee, and one hasn't used any machine to make it. When the carafe is almost empty, I pour the remaining coffee through a super-ultra-fine tea strainer to separate out the final remaining bean remnants.
