If I wanted to post a Word File, or PDF file that had pictures in the file would that work here at FOP?

Does it have to be in JPG form and nothing else?

Thank you

It should be possible to post a PDF so long as the filesize is under 2.5MB (at least the forum software setup page say's so...)

Joeseph,

Thank you very much! My PDF file is 2,846 KB so it should work just fine! The file is pictures from 1880 to 1977, which is 97 years worth B&W and color pictures.

Which forum do you think I should post these in?

Maybe I should have told you there are 42 pages, each page has it's own picture. Each page has a very brief description.

Are you thinking 2,846 KB would be larger than 2.5 MB - maybe it is. When I click on "Attach Files" then point it to my file I do not see "Properties" - do I also have click on the "Open" button"? I was thinking to do that it would then try to download (upload?) the file to FOP.
The file data on my computer says it is a Microsoft Edge PDF. I do have Microsoft Edge on my Windows 11 computer but I have zero experience in using that software. I installed Windows 11 on my computer August 29 this year.

you'll find that 2,846 is larger than 2,500...

I did not want to load the file into this Forum Talk area so I did not want to click on Open File here.

The file I am wanting to load here has 42 wonderful historic pictures that I was hoping to share here.

I just started using the Windows Snipping Tool to do just that Cap'n. It may take me a few days.

The snipping tool was going to be my next suggestion. I use it all the time. In the past you lost image quality, but not so much these days.

Slight difference in colours between 1 and 2/3?

two different issues.

To cut apart a PDF, you need something that will edit PDF files. Acrobat will, of course, but it isn't free. Libre Office does it. I don't know what else free does it.

If you can cut the document apart, you have another alternative. Download the image viewer Irfanview. It allows you to translate from one graphics format to another.
