Hi All; we are taking a week-long, family trip to Iceland in the first week of July this year. My BIL/SIL, going with us, have been a few times and are being our sights guides, but they're not *really* all that familiar with birds/habitats, etc. Anyone here have suggestions for locations I should look to slot into our itinerary? We'll be driving the Golden Circle, with major destination points already defined, but with space in the schedule for side trips or incidental encounters.

If you have the time, then try to plan a visit to Vestmannaeyjabær. You will have to take a ferry but there is no better place for bird watching on the south side of iceland.

I'll ask about adding that to the itinerary then; thank you very much!

We did a cruise around Iceland back in 2019. We had some good luck on Vigur Island and Grimsey Island.
