I was just thinking...

10.20am UK GMT and it is Christmas morning, and it is peaceful where I am. Until I heard a siren and a vehicle of some sort, speeding past the house.
No idea what it was, but just thinking. Somebody somewhere may be in need of help. Some are working on Christmas morning, to help keep us safe.
I take my hat of to them all. (y)

Totally with you on this...

I live down the road from an Old People's Home, and I'm sad to say we've had two ambulances go past today.
It only means one thing. 😞

In the Nursing home I was in today, sirens may have meant Nora did as she said and threw one of the Nursing staff 'over the railing' !
Or someone finally got sick and tired of Rita's ranting and started a brawl.
Or someone tried to take food of any type of Gina and got stabbed as a result.

Yeah, it was a wild time.

Another siren, this time it sounded like a fire engine much deeper slower siren. All the Turkey's being roasted, a few are probably going to burn. Got a watchful eye on ours, it is nearly done. Just hope the emergency services get to whoever needs them, and is able to help them.

Well, over here, our "Christmas" is over.
Being just "the 25th day of the 12th month" in Japan, and pretty much nothing else, we had the traditional "nothing special", plus Missus Skygod mk3 went to work.
My son went to cram school for 6 hours.

And then, in the evening, I tried to cook something special for everyone, but my brother-in-law had a row with Missus Skygod mk3....
....so it's quite fortunate that police sirens didn't come to my house 🤣
🚓 🚨

I was NOT best pleased!

Compared to you, I had a reasonably relaxed day. Most stressful part was doing Xmas dinner, oh and the washing up 😉

I made a requested signature dish of my seafood+pasta salad, took it to a gathering
of my wife's clan, and proceeded to gather an enormous headache due to
the many small children present and the overall raucously loud atmosphere
which inevitably permeates every such gathering.

On the plus side, there was none of it left to return home with, negating the need
to rearrange the contents of our fridge, while the minus was that it was accompanied
by an awful lot of overly-salty dishes. I'll admit that Clara's mac-n-cheese was
awfully good, though.

Thanksgiving's turkey remains come out of the freezer today to make a big pot of soup,
so I've got that going into the positive for this day after.
