Folks on POTN have been very good to me over many years.

I was known there as A.S.I.G.N. Observatory, but people came to recognise BuildsByBaz due to the long years of photo-documentation of the observatory, the steel Ironman suit and finally, the MkII Colonial Viper.

My photography background was pretty intense as I threw myself at it like I was going to war. Landscapes, waterfalls, insect macro, astrophotography, real estate photography, portraits, weddings, product photography and more.

I went pro for a couple of years, but when my wife was expecting, I sold the lot and got a job again.

I still have the observatory and telescopes, cameras etc, but the hobby has been on hold due to three kids and other stupid hobbies.

I still have a 650D and a couple of lenses, tripod etc. I've been thinking about focusing on waterfall photography again. Gotta get some decent ND filters.

I was gutted to see POTN drawing to a close, but it's wonderful to see so many migrating here.

Let the photons flow!

Samples of some of my older work. I can't wait to have the time to get back into it again and learn all the new gear.

Terrific to see you here, Baz. The place wouldnā€™t be the same without you. Welcome!

Glad to see you here. Looking forward to following your next build. Figure it's got to be the Battlestar Galactica, no? Might need a bigger garage. :) Anyway, welcome.

Whoever doesn't know who you are have been living under the rock. Really glad to have you on here and being able to see your updates and upcoming projects :)

I went to Rome once. I stood up on a tiny balcony with the Pope, overlooking a huge crowd of pilgrims. Everyone was pointing and shouting, "WHO THE HECK IS THAT BLOKE, STANDING NEXT TO BAZ!?"

Great to see your work Baz, I too am a model builder but mainly figures in dio s but much much smaller scales.
