How to adapt this lens to a Canon EF body?

I have this Tamron 17-70 2.8 for my Sony E mount and I like the versitability. I also have a Tamron 70-200 f2.8 for my canon 5dsr and would love to use the smaller brother on it as well.

Are there any adapters that would let me use lens on my Canon 5dsr, and would it act like a full frame lens? Also Id love to be able to utilize the lens vibration compensation(IS) since my canon body has none.

This lens is on my Sony crop body.

I think you can't. The electronics are suited only for Sony mirrorless bodies. You must have the Tamron lens for Canon mount to use it on a crop Canon body.

As I understand it, this lens is designed for an APS-C sensor so even if you found a mount that converted the physical Sony mount to the Canon EF, you'd still be faced with a huge vignette with a full-frame camera such as the 5D

Forget electronics or the fact it is an APS-C lens.

Flange distance of Canon EF mount is 44mm but Sony E is 18mm.
Flange distance is distance between the lens mount and sensor.
So this lens is designed to be 18mm from the sensor.
That is why there is no adaptor available, it would be pointless.

A lens designed for Sony E can be used with adaptor on Nikon Z, because Nikon Z flange distance is 16mm.
The adaptor is, predictably, only 2mm thick.

Canon RF flange distance is also 20mm. In that case, electronics does become a problem and again, that is why there is no adaptor available.

I think you meant: Nikon Z is 16mm, so a 2mm thick (non-optical-element) adapter does work for Sony lenses.
