This was a POTN feature that I really liked. Is it passible, now that FOP is pretty well established, to do something similar here? I really don't need to see every other camera brand, G&N, some of the more esoteric forums, etc. It would make my browsing somewhat easier.

Thanks in advance, even if it can't be done!

And I'm guessing that's a "NO"

Hopefully it will be possible in the future.

It may not be possible on this platform. POTN was custom software and that feature was written in by Pekka I believe. I'm just guessing here though.

I'm on another forum that uses XenForo and the feature is there. I don't know if any custom code is involved. There's a minus or plus sign on the section headers to control contract/expand the section.

Yes, the ability to hide and especially to arrange the forums in the order you'd like, were great features that Pekka wrote into his forum software.

I'd be surprised if the ability to hide forums wasn't available, here, but I'd also be very surprised if the ability to arrange them was available.

There is a lot going on behind the curtain. The forum needed to be up and running with barebones features.
Features will be added and things will change. We’ve not even been open for a month..
Patience :namaste;

I can be patient. I know there was a tremendous amount of work done in very little time to get this forum up and running. Kudos to all of those "behind the curtain". It will just make it all the more exciting when new features come online!

It's definitely possible, iirc it's actually a plugin for Xen that allows this, rather than core functionality, but I'm pretty sure that the plugin is pretty "benign" in terms of maintenance etc - though of course, the more plugins that are added to the core Xen, the harder it gets to ensure everything comes over OK when there's an upgrade put out by Xenforo...

Hi, Levina, thanks for trying! I do not wish to be the cause of a full error log... :cloud:
