Ahhh...yet another dGrin refugee! I'm glad I finally made it over here. :)

I've been a photo enthusiast for as long as I can remember, but only had instamatics or point & shoot cameras and used it only for family snaps. I really only got serious about photography when my husband gave me a dSLR for our 25th wedding anniversary nearly 20 years ago (doesn't seem like that long ago!). That first dslr was an Olympus E-500, but I switched over to Canon a few years later. I've been using the Canon 5D MKIII, but have recently switched to a mirrorless system that I am still getting used to. I also don't mind using my cell phone camera when I'm out and about without my Canon gear! I live in Central Texas where wildflowers are a thing, so every spring I tend to take SO MANY pictures of bluebonnets and other colorful flowers. My daughter works for the National Park Service, so we are trying to work our way through all the national parks and as many other NPS sites as we can. I love photographing the scenery and trying to photograph the wildlife.

That second shot of the farmhouse near Marble Falls is beautiful, Sherry!!

Thank you, Cliff and Sam. That old farmhouse might be one of the most photographed places in Texas, especially in the Spring when the bluebonnets are out. Somewhere I have pics of this spot that I've taken over the years. An older photo of this house was actually the very first photo I ever sold, so it's a special place to me. :)

Welcome, Sherry!

I love the images you've introduced yourself with, and I look forward to seeing more.

(I'd love to explore inside that abandoned farmhouse)
