Was at the Hospital yesterday, yet another scan. Been getting light headed and dizzy, with twinges in chest. As a result, I am now on nine types of medication. The daily chore of pill popping, is a little annoying. Yes, I know there a lot people much much more worse off than me, but I am just saying, that's all. ;)

Jon that's not pleasant.
Trust they get to the root cause and quickly

Your predicament is uniquely yours and others there's.
I have made similar comments as yours in past about my then current situation but realised what ails me is (was) what renderered me out of sorts.

Take care

I am still plodding on, I think I have a few more photos in me yet. ;)

Thanks for your comment. (y)

I carefully manage the lifestyle abuse of my heart, so that heart disease is more likely to take me than the statistical alternative, cancer! 🧑‍⚕️

I dunno why science and medicine are striving for increasing longevity...biology is not kind to those in their 90's. And cancer cells seem to be resistant to apoptosis (spontaneous cell death) so isn't it antithetic to want to prolong life (and become like cancer cells)?!

Well, mental illness is the leading cause of deaths in the US, according to some sources... I notice a lot more well being questions when I visit my doctor, like to you feel safe at home, do you feel depressed etc.

The only thing that depresses me, is the length of my medication list and the associated conditions being treated. Then I think that the alternative is wholly unacceptable and I feel better!

My tuppence is that yes, aging while being in a ton of pain is utterly illogical, unless the aim is to make lots of money for the companies who make the meds to manage the pain.

But I quit full-time work in 1999, at the tender age of 30, and the reduction in stress and thereafter more opportunities to lead a healthier lifestyle, seem to be delaying my aches, pains and misery substantially.

I'm in the food business and I hang around with many "foodies" all day long. Eating. It can kill you. In fact, 95% of what is available in food stores is designed to kill you. What I mean is that eating the wrong stuff can and will kill you. Seed oils (canola, safflower, sunflower, soybean and corn oils) are all bad and can lead to joint inflammation, and digestion problems. Best food oils are cold pressed organic (and real actual) olive oil, cold pressed avocado oil, coconut oil and ghee, or even butter. Then there's sugar, the refined type, does nothing for your gut but help to eliminate the good bacterias, and can promote headaches and joint pain. Natural sugars in fruits are the best kind as food additives (or just eat the fruits). Everyone needs some natural sugars since that's what makes your body go and maintain brain health. I could list a ton of other good and bad, but there's enough on the innertubes already concerning health and food. When in doubt about ingredients listed on labels, either study up or get a good phone app that warns you. The BobbyApproved app is a trusted source.

I went off processed sugars 9 years ago. No more migraines, much reduced inflammation and joint pain, my gums around my teeth regenerated a bit, even life-long warts on fingers slowly went away. I then began eliminating the bad oils, and feel healthier as a result. I eat less red meat and more fish now. I also add powdered collagen peptides to drinks every day for better bone, hair, nail and joint health. My general condition these days is far better than it was 10 years ago.

Pretty interesting that is, learning about all the bad foods. I was thinking of eating better than I am doing. I just need to do it now, go on a much more healthy diet. :giggle:

🤔🤔🤔

And your diet mainly consists of...?

(If you say Fish 'n' chips washed down with a double vodka, I think we'll know the problem.
If not, you better go and do more tests.)
You don't know anything about me or my lifestyle. Please stop giving me advice.

I paid the price for years of fast food, cigarettes, and generally not paying attention to what is bad for you.

mortality is real!
If I could only go back knowing what I know today.
