Greetings from Amsterdam!

Folks,
Just wanted to introduce myself. I’m John Harrison, an avid nature and landscape photographer originally from Silicon Valley, now based in Amsterdam. Shooting with my Nikon D850 and more often these days my iPhone 16 Pro Max, I capture everything from Yosemite’s granite walls and Kauai’s coastlines to the windmills and now canals and windmills in the Netherlands. I also love cityscapes at night since I travel for work (Computer Security) and get to visit some amazing places.

For me, photography is about slowing down, connecting with nature, and sharing those moments of beauty with others. I am an oldtime SmugMug/ Dgrin photographer and have been updating and refreshing the website to focus on improved SEO (now that it isn't important). I love making big ass fine art prints as well! Used to have a full printing setup but gave all that up when we moved to Amsterdam.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome! Really enjoying trying to get back into my photography again (the day job keeps me too busy!) and refocusing on printing and sharing my images.
Glad to help if anyone ever needs input on printing - I did that for years but now have sold off all my printing gear.

I love making BAP’s, Big Ass Prints as well. Keep cranking out your BAFAP’s as well. Look wonderful.
Leaving tomorrow and flying into Schiphol as we visit my wife’s newly found brother who lives in Apen, Germany. About a three hour drive or so. We fly into Schiphol 4-6 times a year that the people in the rental car desk recognize us.
