GoPro and similar action cameras

I’ve always wanted to get one. How are the knockoffs compared to the GoPro in terms of image quality?
Well the cheaper one is 5+ years older.. but the 3 main reasons I chose a GoPro Hero 12 to replace it, is it had the best still photo size, best video image stabilization, auto leveling and waterproof to 66ft without case. From all the reviews I saw.. So far its not bad ;)

Yes we didn't even think about it. How shameful! lol
where do you guys think this should go? ok to be in the mobile? change the drone & remote to drone & action cameras ?

Great! I was thinking about adding this thread, especially because you are allowed to embed video on the forum as well.

Would it be ok for us to move this thread?
Drone & Remote Photography will be renamed to Drone & Action Cameras

I think the two will go together nicely.

I think.. that it would be Great (y)

I just bought an Insta360 X3, which is my first foray into action cams. I bought this one because of the 360 perspective. It lets you video your whole active in 360 degrees and then after the fact frame your video for viewing however you want. I am getting into stunt kiting and I want to be able to see the kite's movement and also what my hands are doing. Now that I have this camera, I'm not so sure how will it is going to do this, but I have already thought of a lot of other things the family can use it for. It is nice to be able to take a picture or video of something and also have a selfie of it happening at the same time! For example, the previous post of the moto video, during the video the camera is turned to the side, and then turned back forward. With a 360 camera you can do that after the fact during editing... or even turn it back to see yourself while it is going on.

Just need to find the best settings, and how to use it.
Its shoot now and frame later.

I Guess you have to let the X3 go up with your kite ;)
