My thoughts exactly. I don’t really use them as I’m not a professional in this space, but now there’s just one behemoth for stock images?
Sounds like it. I've sold through Alamy for years, and looked at Getty, but frankly didn't think the commission structure looked attractive.

I'm not involved, but I'll throw in 2¢ . . . Consolidation has swept other parts of the publishing industry for decades. It's generally bad news for content providers.

Stock photography has been getting tougher for decades already. The digital age exploded the number of photographers competing for the business. In addition, the birth of some stock agencies that advertised images at $1 or less. Adobe is one of these, with their Adobe Stock subscription.

Photography content creators have been getting the short end of the stick for a long while. I sell some images, but nowhere near what they actually cost to make. Then again I don't practice photography for the money involved.

There are exceptions of course, there are still some photographers making g a great living at it. Weddings, portraits, real estate, commercial...still apparently good opportunities. Landscape and nature? Not so much in my estimation.
