It is great with the dedicated threads for the current cameras, but maybe too much having a thread for each of the older Fujifilm cameras? Could we use this thread for the older models and (a lot of) pictures?
Moderators feel free to change if you do not agree.
All the best Klaus

I will go first myself. After some restructuring and downsizing of my equipment I am now down to a single MILC - a (pre-owned) X-T2. Even though I kept all my Fuji lenses I am not sure this was the right solution - I miss my X-E2S.

But here we go - from an October trip to the Garda Lake in Italy:

For my $0.02, I think we should create an all-users thread like we had on POTN--old, new, Fuji-curious, etc. There's nothing close to a critical mass of Fuji users here yet to go spinning off onto model-specific threads. The Sony people do it like that too. But by all means, start whatever threads float your boat. Just a thought.

Great idea - we could rename this thread for that? - what should we call it? "Fuji pictures and discussions"?

But how would that work? Would this be for talking about the Fujifilm camera models, or sharing of photos the cameras produce? Questions and answers may end up getting lost among the many images. I have a few cameras myself, maybe about ten or more. I would soon confuse myself, if I posted questions and photos in the same thread.

Jon, yes, there it was a general discussion and photo sharing thread. And I agree that it can get a little jumbled. But questions usually got addressed by the group think. And think about it. There's a lot of cross-over between models, whether its similar sensors, lenses, menus, dials, etc. One person's experience with camera N might be helpful for questions on camera Z. If we carve up the group, we do risk good knowledge falling through the cracks.

Klaus, call it whatever you want. On POTN, the Fuji people called it Fuji Users Unite-post your comments, questions and images here (that thread has been running 10 years). Sony people called theirs the Sony Lounge (as they do here on FoP). Leica people had Leica Lovers Anonymous.

Alternatively, we could have a general discussion thread running parallel to specific camera model threads too. In that case, someone asking a question about, for instance, a specific lens or camera might get an answer in a model-specific thread. But if not, then they could re-post in the general thread.

I just wanted to pose the question to see what you thought. There's no reason we have to change anything now or ever. We can see how it evolves as more members contribute. But it might remain very quiet in some of these tiny chambers for a while.

As for myself, I tend to post more images in subject matter-specific threads, and less so in brand-specific threads. But I would still drop in for discussion and occasional image sharing.

Yes true I suppose. (y)

Good initiative to create this thread - we should stay in the POTN tradition. I have suggested that we stop using the “Fuji pictures and discontinued cameras” thread that I started.

The X100 series is and has always been something special - mine was a X100T. A couple of shots from a trip to Sivota in Greece 2022:

Question: I've had very little success photographing my dog in motion using the X-T3 with the 70-300. The primary issue is that focus tracking is behind him or it grabs the grass instead of the moving dog. Issue occurs when he is running toward me. It's been Ok-ish when he is running across the frame and I'm panning. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Subject running toward you is about the most challenging circumstance. I haven't done much of that kind of shooting with the Fuji gear. Have you experimented with all the available continuous AF modes? I think the X-T3 has 5 modes.

Ahhhh.... I didn't know that about the multiple modes. It's probably in an instruction manual! 🙈

I usually shoot single AF with the tiniest AF point for street and everything else (well, now that I think about it, I hardly use AF for street, but I digress). I really don't care for AF-C on older Fuji gear, but it may be your best bet here. Also experiment with the size of the AF point. Casting it wider might help.
