FoP Mini Challenge #2: Aviation

I am an aviation nut and go to a lot of airshows in the Southwest area of the US. Let's see some of your best aviation photos! Your photos don't necessarily have to be from an airshow and can be from any kind of object involved with aviation (military or commercial). Here are some of the examples from my collection.

The challenge will run to May 20th 2025; 9:00 PM Pacific Standard Time, and I will pick the best image where the winner will then be able to host their own contest. You can post up to 3 photos but please title all of them.

1. Antique Airplane fly-in at Watsonville CA in 1965

3. The big black SR-71 Blackbird in 2005 (which was so big it was hard to get it all in the picture),

Bob tells me that it was a high altitude very fast spy plane. He said they had them on Okinawa, and that when they came out c October 1966 they were top secret and no one was supposed to know about them. But in December 1966, the man next door (the one who had little kids - not the Thompson's on the other side) had a model of one to give his little boy for Xmas.

One not for the contest that I just like is a photo taken by my son-in-law of my daughter (who was a pilot in the USAF and now flies for AA) giving advice to Wilbur Wright

Excellent theme @chuckie365. My aviation photos are nowhere as cool as yours. But, I'll do my best.

After returning home from the west coast, I found a few photos that might work for this challenge.

1) Float planes in Ketchikan, Alaska

2) Island Wings float plane in the Misty Fjords National Monument (Wilderness)
The plane landed in one part of this beautiful wilderness, and I took a photo of the plane there. (It was a marshy area, and I wasn't able to back up and get more of the plane in my shot.)

Roadside Attractions
