Fixed-Lens Challenge #384: Through Something

Great variety of interpretations of the challenge so it was hard to pick

Just my own interpretation - I considered the challenge was to negotiate an obstruction in the foreground. From the intro: "Every shot should include a foreground obstruction (e.g. fences, leaves, glass, fabric)." I didn't think the ones where the foreground was a framing device or other non-obstruction met the remit.

For me and my post, I saw the snow bank as a pretty solid obstruction to getting a shot of the kids, so I took the one line of sight through it, with the foreground obstruction still surrounding the focal point, much like Rosalie's.
Have to say though, Cap'n you got the best of both foreground obstruction and subject!

I considered these shots...

But then, if those, why not this?

And here is the same subject as my entry, except for having got so close to that fence, I can just shoot through it...

Obstruction negotiated! :p

So, I didn't know if any of those would have been fair?

But yes - all good when it stimulates a bit of thought and interpretation. (y)
