I started this one on POTN waaaaay back in 2015, thought it would be good to throw it out there again.

Nope I didn't know what 'Pareidolia' was either, the short answer is:

It's "the imagined perception of a pattern or meaning where it does not actually exist", according to the World English Dictionary. It's picking a face out of a knotted tree trunk or finding zoo animals in the clouds.

So - you look at a tree and see a face or a person, a cloud formation you see a cat / whale etc etc. may not work as a thread but I took the suggestion from a post I made of an orchid, to give you an idea:

Whilst taking photo's of the orchids at RHS Wisley I noticed the 'doll' in the centre of this orchid - bit freaky huh?

So come on then - lets see your 'pareidolia'
