Do we have the ability to edit posts? I know other XF forums have the option. Was it decided to disable this feature, or am I just not seeing the edit button?
Apparently there is a time limit set in order to edit.No matter, Marco. You are not seeing an edit button in your own posts?
Correct, no edit button available after a certain duration on posts. Same for threads. No matter, Marco. You are not seeing an edit button in your own posts?
It’s removed. Can the time limit be removed?
I caved. It’s set to unlimited now.
But I will put edit-addicts in a separate group and only give them 5 minutes. So be warned…
Exactly! There's always "Add New User Group" as your friend.
Just tried to edit a post of mine from a week ago, but there is no edit button; wanted to add location data to a photo I posted. Some forums require you to have a certain number of posts before you can edit, so was wondering if that applies here? ThanksI caved. It’s set to unlimited now.

We restricted editing time to 24 hours after we had a few people performing mass deletions of their posts and/or images, and in doing so disrupting the flow of threads, removing contexts of replies, etc. Whenever you need to edit a post you are welcome to contact a staff member or report the post you would like to edit.Just tried to edit a post of mine from a week ago, but there is no edit button; wanted to add location data to a photo I posted. So, this would be your "Edit-Addict Edict" then?
