Do you have photos of Statues?

After the British-Satsuma War in 1863, caused by the slicing up of poor Charles Richardson, by a couple of overly zealous samurai, the Satsuma Domain sent 19 young men to the UK to learn our ways.

This is the top of the statue in central Kagoshima commemorating their adventure.

Scary.
But kinda cool too.

We were in a small town in Burgundy (Saulieu) and at the time the town was littered with statues of King Kong in various colors-kind of like the cows you see inother places.

Another of today's statues.
A woman holding a stick, which seems to have a dragon head biting it, but with the body of a lamp.

And she is outside a temple which has elephant heads on the tops of the columns supporting the roof.

I'm clueless on this one... 🤷‍♂️

It reminds me of the Donkey Kong game with the barrel.
