See the metal "shakujō" (staff) held by this statue?

Imagine one like this, outside Kiyomizu-dera in Kyoto, where you're encouraged to pick it up and shake it, "for luck".

But it weighs 250kgs.
And you're supposed to pick it up as a group of five people...
...and imagine that I didn't know any of that, when we went in January!

The resulting compression-strain in my left wrist is almost better.
