Digital Speed Challenge #828 Shiny Objects, in Natural Light

Show us your Shiny Objects.

(I added the Natural Light restriction because I'm not really qualified to judge studio stuff, and this topic might lend itself to that. You can interpret the Natural Light piece anyway you'd like, but keep my judging proclivities in mind.)

This challenge begins when posted and ends at midnight GMT on 09/23/2024. The winner will be announced shortly thereafter.

The Challenge Rules:

1. Camera: Any DIGITAL CAMERA is allowed.
2. Time: Any on-topic photo taken at any time is eligible, although photos that have won other competitions should NOT be entered.
3. Size: Maximum image size is 1600px on the long end. Minimum size is 800px.
4. Post Processing: Do whatever you like, and the host will decide if it works.
5. Posting: ONE PHOTO per photographer per challenge. List camera model & lens used. Post brief EXIF data: ISO, shutter speed and aperture.
6. Commenting: No commenting and Likes during challenge. After the challenge is closed discussion is encouraged.
7. Keep it clean, and both family and work safe.
8. Have lots of FUN.
9. This text is available in a sticky. Copy the text and paste it in the new thread.

May be a bit of a stretch but it's not studio lighting just the incandescent lights in the bathroom, ie existing light.
Story behind this. For two years this bathroom tap has been on the honeydew list. Did not have a diffuser as every attempt to make one work failed. Normally I would have just replaced it but the wife liked those handles. So yesterday I tore it down completely hoping to find the problem. No luck but thanks to 17 years of corrosion, a key part broke. Trip to the hardware and we found a tap she would accept but the handles were not to her liking. Got it home and turns out it was the same tap as the old one, just different handles. Thankfully I was able to swap out the handles, and wife is now a very happy camper.

Thing is I had been looking for two years and had never spotted anything that even looked like I could swap out the handles.

Sorry, I couldn't get to this today. Challenge is over. I'll pick the winner in the morning.

Sorry again. I'm all distracted this week.

I'm going with Ed's [Dilopix54] B&W image. It's so nice on so many different levels.

I'll throw out a couple of honorable mentions:
Terry [TerryPinky]:
I don't know what that is, but it is interesting, and it is shiny.
Bob [CNP]:
Porcelain fixtures are the best. Your wife has excellent taste.

Over to you, Ed.

Thank you Ken! Nice entries all😉
I just saw this post about an hour ago, I will post a new challenge in the morning

New challenge is up (extra day added because of the delay). Get to it! :giggle:
