Deleting a new thread ....

The forum software is very helpful when you start a new thread and gives a list of potentially similar threads "Is this already being discussed?" If there is a similar thread and you decide that your post is redundant, there is no way to abandon the process. There seems to be no option to delete an entire thread in the course of creation (or if there is, I haven't found it). The only thing you can do is continue, post a bit of nonsense text and then delete afte posting. The "Is this already being discussed?" is so useful, it would be logical to have a "delete draft thread" option at this hierarchical level.

easiest option is report the post & ask a mod to delete the thread giving a reason.
