During The lockdown that Covid caused here in Ireland there was little work that I could do so started to wander about the lands that are beside my house with a camera to see what I could find. There are two swans that live on a little lake and we got to know each other well As they would be the subject of many photographs that year. After the lockdown was finally over the swans were nesting on an island in the middle of it, I was lucky enough to be testing a prototype lens at the time and hoping my luck would last and the timing was right I got up and out at dawn one morning with my tripod and set up to video the nest. About an hour later there was quite a bit of ex from the swans and sure enough little heads started to bob up. What a sight.

Recorded from the side of the lake on a Fuji X-T4 with the then unreleased XF150-600mm @600mm plus a 1.4TC as I didn’t want to disturb things
