They are vicuñas!. They're similar, but this ones are smaller than guanacos

Desert cottontail (Sylvilagus audubonii) at Sweet Springs Nature Preserve in Morro Bay, California.

The 70-200 F/4L IS is one of my favorite lenses when out and about hiking. Light and sharp as a tack.
