@Mr Roboto (View_Finder)

You are really are making this lens sing, Hideta. Wonderful images.
Thank you, Levina. The sharpness produced is quite impressive coupled with excellent color rendition and contrast. I wish I could have done a side-by-side with the EF version before I sold it. The RF is significantly larger and heavier. Would be interesting to compare the stabilization performance between the two.

The RF version is heavier? That's unusual, I think. It seems that in general, most RF lenses seem to be lighter than their EF counterparts, presumably because of newer materials and advances in engineering.

The RF has a different design compared to that of the EF. Presumably to increase magnification to 1.4x with a shorter focusing distance.

If using only a mirrorless camera, the EF + adapter becomes about the same size and weight overall.

If comparing a 5DmkIV+EF100L to an R5+RF100L, again the overall weight becomes about the same. But because the 5D is heavier and the EF lighter, that combo is better balanced and easier to handhold in my opinion.

I'm guessing that this RF lens on a R7 (with it's 1.6x crop) will effectively give a magnification ratio even higher than x2!
