On my 1D cameras I shot birds with the 400/5.6L but I haven’t touched it once since switching to mirrorless and getting the RF 100-500. What a terrific lens.

Nice diversity of images, John! Telephoto lenses definitely have a place in landscape photography - very different feel from wide angle lenses.

Thanks! Admittedly I don't find a lot of opportunity around here for anything longer than 200, but I usually have the 100-500 around just in case. That shot was sunset at Clingmans Dome in the Smokys.
