It sounds like the R6iii will be released in early November and shipping in late November. I am torn as to whether the upgrade will be worth it. I have the R6ii and use it for anytime I am shooting in low light, it blows away my R7 for high ISO performance and is better than my R5ii for high ISO. On dark rainy days it can't be beat. There is minimal rolling shutter. My R5ii is my main camera but when the light is bad it is the R6ii. One of the things that the R5ii does much better than the R6ii is pre-capture. With the R6ii you get a single file that you have to cull the shots in DPP while in the R5ii you get the individual shots.
Looking at all the specs the main reason I would upgrade would be IF it has even better low light, high ISO, performance and I don't see it unless they a much better sensor. I will probably rent one for a few days so I can do a comparison.
