I didn't know there was an R10 thread. I just joined the club. I got a year-end deal on a refurbished one and it came last week.
It's going to be a bit of a niche body for me. I live in the mountains east of Seattle and most of my shooting happens out in the country, where everybody has big tools and big toys. I've got gear like that and that's what I shoot with.
But I still got some city boy in me, and I plan on using the R10 to drive a small, more discrete kit when I prowl the concrete looking for urban scenes. A walking-around-in-a-crowd kit. So far, I like it. Makes me want to travel with it.
