Sorry to respond to such an old post, but I'm now going down the rabbit hole of figuring out which mirrorless camera I might want to buy. I've got a thread in the "Welcome" portion of the forum, but basically, I currently use a T3i, which I quite like, and also have a 5D2, which is great, but I really like the reach I get with the APS-C sensor. I have a bunch of EF and EF-S lenses.Hooray it's here and focusing works beautifully! Looks really nice and well made.
Pics coming soon from the R10.

So, my question: how well do the third-party EF-RF adapters work? Is the Canon OEM really worth it?

OK, thanks, I appreciate the info. I will probably grab one at "full price" whenever I decide to plunge into the mirrorless realm (sounds like a weird sci-fi/fantasy novel), because I won't be patient enough for one to pop up in the refurb store - unless I grab both camera and adapter from there, and both are in stock.I would recommend just getting the Canon OEM version. It is $79 pretty much all the time in the Canon refurb store and occasionally drops even lower. You may save 20 bucks with a third-party but why. I have two of them, one for my R7 and the other on my R5 and it's pretty much an install-and-forget proposition. Works flawlessly.
Hey @shinksma, the Canon EOS adapter is now available in the refurb store for $80. You might want to jump on it to pick it up.OK, thanks, I appreciate the info. Now I can wait for BF sales in the Canon Refurb store of the various models on my watch list...
