Thought I would start a thread for this body. I picked up an R10 earlier this year to replace both the 7D2 I once owned as a dedicated wildlife body, plus the M50 I used as a light weight travel body.

Here are a couple of shots taken recently with the R10 + RF 800mm f/11 at Huntington Beach State Park in South Carolina.

Hi Guys I'm new here! Greats shots! I just purchased the R10 kit refurbished from Canon and should get it this week. I will order the adapter and some batteries on ebay. Hopefully share some shots soon. I bought a 70D last year Christmas used and really didn't get to use it much.

I suggest you look on the Canon refurbished site for the adapter. I bought one with my RP and it was about $20. off from new. Same warranty as new. I have an adapter for my R10 and RP as I only have one RF lens, the 18-150. The adapters work grat, just add some length and weight.

Hi Gene! I don't see any adapters for $20 on the canon refurbished site and wasn't offered with the kit. Do you have a link, Gene?

Sorry I wasn't clear, but the refurb site has the adapter at $79. which is $20 off normal. Just not sure about the off brand from ebay, but I don't do ebay.

About the adapter, I bought the Canon one, after somebody told me that the other brands give sometimes problems.

Thanks guys and HNY 2024! Well I missed my R10 delivery yesterday. Hopefully I can get it later today. I went ahead and got the generic Canon adapter from eBay since it was a good deal. I'll let you know if it works well when I get it in a couple of weeks

Always look at the Canon refurb store first before buying elsewhere. You will get essentially new equipment for substantial discounts. Everything isn’t always in stock and when they get new stock, the in-demand items like L lenses go fast, so go to the refurb page on cpricewatch.con and set email alerts for the gear they you are interested in so that you get notified when something gets new stock.

Also, just get on the cpricewatch mailing list. Refurb prices are good but they often have sales which drop the price even further. Some of the best deals on the planet!

Hi guys! Got it last night, but was tired, so here she is...The R10 is a bit biggerthan I thought it would be, so it's a big plus with my semi large hands. I've got about nine Canon lens, so hopefully I'll be able to use them with the adapter when it arrives in 2-3 weeks. I'll try to post some shots this weekend. Battery charging...
