Off Topic:
I’m having a problem with my R6 when shooting timelapses. The problem doesn’t come up every time but is anoying.
In the middle of my shoot the camera overexposes an image and the interval timer
stops, ruining my Timelapse.
Yesterday it happened again.
Maybe some of you can give me a hint what’s going on.
Here are my settings:

Sunset Timelapse:

ISO 100,f8,1/500th SS
-2/3 Exposure comp
Evaluative Metering
P Mode
Interval 12 seconds
Shooting RAW

The image in question shows the right settings but is blown out and the histogram
is at the far right!
Also the interval changes to 13 seconds and the Interval Timer stops at that moment.
I keep my screen folded in to save battery power so the problem is not visible until I check my camera again.
Thx in advance
Alexander
Just a thought from DSLR Stuff. I have had occasional overexposures with an aging lens. Don't know for sure the reason but it may be lens mount contacts or the aperture motor.

Might be worth testing with a different lens just in case.

Worth a try. The problem is it doesn’t happen every time, so it will be a few runs before I know for sure if it’s the lens’ fault.

You used the camera's Interval shooting fuction, I think, right? Did you maybe set the number of shots to 99, instead of to 00?
Yes I used the camera’s Interval shooting function, but it was photo #167 that was bad, so this isn’t the problem.

My new years resoulution, share more pictures.

Ah. In that case I am out of options. I have no idea.
Perhaps it would be a good idea to start a separate thread for it, here in the Canon Cameras forum. That will reach more people and not just people with a R6. Just a thought.

I have to go back to work tomorrow from Christmas vacation. I got to spend great times with family and friends. Here's wishing for the next Christmas...FR6_2577.jpg

It's been a cold, dreary, damp day today.
So I got out some old toys to play with - a Samyang 85mm f/1.4 manual lens in EF mount

1/45s, f/2.8, ISO 6400 with EF to RF adapter
In crop (1.6x) mode (but uncropped from that)

Went to the Aviary today with the R6.
Shot this with the 100-400II and ISO 12800
I am amazed at the detail and how well it cleans up with a quick run in DXO Pureraw3
No way my R7 could have came out this clean with this much detail 426206923_10111046154719333_5204418346310230731_n.jpg

It seems that the matte paint scheme is all the rage right now.
It does make photographing them a lot easier - even with all the fingerprints and hand smudges
