I was all set to make the leap to mirrorless with the upcoming r63, but the tariff nonsense may push back the announcement and drive up the price. I was consoling myself with a trip through a local pawnshop and lo and hold there was a ridiculous deal on an r5 with a 100-400 (which I already have). So it looks like I have a significant learning curve jumping from my 7D/1Dx combo.

Welcome to the club! I bet you'll the camera - I sure love mine. There's definitely a learning curve but IMO mirrorless has so many advantages over DSLRs. I love the accurate AF and being able to see the actual exposure in the viewfinder.

Looks like a horsetail fern to me. Possibly common horsetail (equisetum arvense)?
