Canon EOS R5 Mark II Owners Unite: Discuss and Post Photos!

Haven't had a lot of time since I got the camera. Just moved, so still in a sea of boxes :) Here are a couple that I took while panning. It was a relatively slow pan, but I can't notice any rolling shutter effect on the tower. Much improved vs the R5.View attachment 100465View attachment 100466
Haven’t had a chance to try big with a background like the first shot, so it’s good to see. Even with a slow pan the R5 left structures leaning badly.

Samples so far seem very nice and almost tempting from this camera. However price for entry is a little bit on the high side. Wish the lens offerings where a little more fleshed out for this system

What lenses do they not offer that you would need? In the RF mount?

One of the best things Canon did for RF was the seamless adaptation of EF glass. Some EF glass is spectacular, and can be had for a relative bargain vs the pre-RF days. Nice options to explore.

Has anybody tried focus-peaking with the mark II and can compare it to the original R5?
The reason I'm asking is that on the original R5 the focus-peaking isn't very visible (even at the highest setting), so much so that at times it is almost invisible (at least for macro shots).
I had (another) very frustrating case yesterday when shooting a moth and I just couldn't make out whether the eye was in the focal plane or not.
On the first EOS R, focus-peaking visibility was a lot better than on the R5. If Canon has improved it again on the mark II then this might be a reason for getting the mark II...
