Never fails to disappoint.

The 5DMKV is an exceptional camera in almost every way

I'd just taken the used example out for my first use, and it delivered everything I'd expected of it.

Yep, even thought it's considered "old tech," it still delivers a pretty good image. 📸

Harald Heim of thepluginsite created an exceptional plugin to Photoshop which restores double-clicking
of 5D4 files to open into CS6's native ACR, which can then be opened directly with PS6.
It's quite inexpensive for a lifetime license, with email updates to notify of changes.

I'm still learning to effectively process my photos, with CS6 being their last before subscriptions,
tutorials and learning documents still cover CS6, and I can't justify to myself that the newer
versions of Adobe products are worth their monthly or yearly subscription prices.

Someone from POTN turned me on to the MetaRaw plugin, and I'm awfully glad they did.

I wish my wife and I could travel like you do,
so I'll gratefully thank you for sharing your travels with us.

Beyond a point-n-shoot I began dSLR with a 7D. After maybe 2 years with that I moved to the 5D3. When the 5D4 was released I moved to it almost immediately for the numerous improvements it had. I have felt no desire to have another body, but I will eventually move to the R5.

Thanks for messaging me about this new website, Craig. Your pictures of cars make me want to post images from a car exhibit at The High (but it was back when I had a 5Dc)

OK, since this is the 5D4 forum, here's a recent one. Because it's a tight space I tried hand holding with slow shutter (taking advantage of the camera weight and bracing against a rail)

Very glad you made it here, Dave. Your last two shots are all sorts of intrigue.
I'd love to see more.

Some of my better(non-5DV-specific) attempts are in the Car Shows, post em... thread.

Craig, I tried putting my website in account info, but notice it's not readily in the member's info. Both the night shots (Krog Street) and the High Museum car exhibit are on my smugmug: https://davesrose.smugmug.com/ Funny that the first car the exhibit had was a Duesenberg. Will peruse the site to decide on pics to contribute.

I Love this camera for portraits. Nice pleasing soft colors, perfect file size and prints look awesome.

Has anyone experienced the various rubber panels coming off? My 5d4 is about 7 years old now.

Are you referring to the textured grip portions, Chuck?
Mine is around the same age, though I haven't experienced delamination or lifting/separation.

I do know those can be found from eBay and other places on the intarwebz, and they're fairly inexpensive.
Worst case for me, I'd find some nice leather and commercial-grade double-sided tape or adhesive,
cut to fit, and enjoy.

Yes, the textured grip portions. I just had to replace the rubber grip on the mode dial and I was wondering if it may be a sign of bigger things to come.
