This is one of my favorite lenses. I've owned my copy since this lens was launched in 2011.
It's certainly the most versatile of the fish eye lens genre because it's a zoom lens. It covers the 180' circulr view through to the regaulr 15mm recilinear fisheye.

Here's a few I took yesterday in Canary Wharf, London.

Just got one! It is going to be fun to play around with. I just focusd (not exactly at MFD, but close to the leaf) on the leaf and it has a very interesting effect! The second image is a 1-1 crop of the leaf. (Lr profile correction applied and exposure auto). Quite sharp in the center.

Anyone have any examples of how this lens looks on an APS-C body like an R7 or R10? Specifically how it looks at both ends: 8mm and 15mm? And in between?

I am thinking this would be a great wide lens for city architecture and whatnot, and my wife is very intrigued. I demonstrated what my old Rokinon fixed MF 8mm looks like on one of our R7s, but real-life examples if this seemingly very capable EF lens on a crop body would be cool.

Ok, here goes some random images from today. LrC using lens profile. Color Faithful. Auto Basic.

Hey, I posted some random images I took today at 8mm and 15mm with the R7. You can get the CRAW files for these images (and a couple more) at the following location:

Note that Amazon Photos does a poor job of rendering the CR3 files (just embedded jpgs?) so the link is useful to download the CRAW files and play around with them yourself.

Awesome! Thanks so much, my wife and I appreciate the differences we can see in the 8mm vs 15mm FL for the same "shot" - this is exactly what we needed. I am fully approved to acquire one of these lenses at our next "disposable income" trigger event. Since we just bought a (used) RF 100-500mm, that may be a month or two from now...

I did not know you could UnFish or deFish
What an amazing effect!
Thank you. The current version of light room seems to have nerfed the lens correction for this lens, compared to 3/4 years ago. Previously, the profile was spectacularly good. Sometimes I get better results from the Sigma 8mm profile (for the wide end). I tend to find that not fully strwetching and correcting the lens helps with the corner mush / stretching a lot.
