Canon EF 200mm f/1.8 L USM

That looks like some serious lens! And your copy looks well used, Butch!
Hey Levina... Thanks for the comment... There's actually a great story behind this particular lens... I purchased it in 2009 from Paramount Pictures!!! They were selling off old gear with new ones... In this case, they were upgrading to the 200 2L IS glass... Anyhoo... The gentleman that was handling the sale mentioned that my 200 1.8L was used to capture many poster board photos for movies, as well as several DVD cover cases...

So I guess it was well used before I bought it... But the glass is still razor sharp, til this day... I usually, if not always, shoot wide open on this glass... It hasn't disappointed me with what it can produce... I'll post more recent work soon... Hopefully with my new acquired R3 body... Now that it has IBIS!!! woot woot...

:)

That is really awesome, Butch. A lens with a story and a great story at that!

I would love to see your images, taken with this lens. But I know your work and have always admired it, so I look forward to your images regardless of which gear you used.

I know the last DSLR you shot with was a 1DX body, the Mk II? I’m sure you will love the R3. The IBIS on these mirrorless cameras is amazing!
