I had a 40D, and it was great.
Excellent with a focusing screen and MF lenses, just like the previous XTi/400D.

I still have both here in my possession. Need to create a little “Museum” of my old cameras in my “Lightroom Lounge”.

I still have both here in my possession. Need to create a little “Museum” of my old cameras in my “Lightroom Lounge”.

I no longer have a 40D, but I have a 50D and a 5DIV.

The 50D is merely a better image-quality version of the 40D, and I'm glad I was able to upgrade.
The 5DIV is another beast entirely.

But they're all exceptional cameras for using a wide variety of vintage lenses, and I love them for this.

Such is why I'm unlikely to move beyond the EOS mount; it may be the most versatile in adapting
vintage mounts ever.
