An Addendum to my very longstanding thread from POTN, now dedicated to my Dad who became a permanent "member" very suddenly, in 2009.
Post your images of cemeteries, graveyards, sarcophagi, tombs, chapel's of rest, etc.

Please note:
The idea is NOT to be morbid or macabre, but instead to celebrate the joy that we're all still above the ground and able to enjoy life...and take pictures!

[If you've had a loved one recently die, I apologise in advance for seeming to stamp on your emotions, but that's not my intention - instead, please see how remembering the good times is what they would have wanted...and take some pictures to prove you're still with us, in the land of the living]

And here he is (was?) in 2009.

Yes.
That was me, looking into the hole they'd dug for him, in the churchyard attached to his own 800 year-old church(!)

And this was after it was all over.

Now , get to it guys 'n' girls.

Let's keep on keeping on, while we've breath in our lungs, blood in our veins, and a camera in our hands.

Regards,
Simon

Thanks Duncan.

I noticed another, similar thread.
Sorry to that Thread Starter, but the original "Bring Out Yer Dead" thread had such momentum, I was devastated when I heard it would all be down the toilet, after POTN closed down.

So, in honour of my dear ol' Dad, I felt I was justified in pushing "Part 2" here.

Hope you'll add here soon.

Though NOT in a similar manner to my father!!!

Regards,
Simon

just a thought - when you're adding pics you can add them either as full size or as thumbnail & it seems to be easy to get the wrong size (technology challenges...)

Not at the cemetery but at the wake for our son Sean Patrick Padell who died suddenly at age 29, he was an EMT and honored at his wake, and he had just gotten his Masters in Education from UMass and they gave us his diploma at the wake.

He was also honored by only the second final call by Fallon Ambulance in Boston MA. He had been one of the first responders at the Boston Marathon Bombing. He passed away in 2016

Jeff, your posts #6 and 7 show this:

Do you perhaps have another source to link to?

Hmm, that never happened to me, these are direct from youtube. I am not aware of another place I could post the videos, I have never used Rumble. Any thoughts?

When I click on them they work but maybe I have accepted 3rd party cookies...

Since going live, I've worked out some tricks to make uploading easier, and one is to edit the file size on my smartphone, using Snapseed.
I've set the long edge to 1366px max, so as to always fit FoP's size limit, and to make tweeking quick.
Also, the little photo symbol attaches easier for me, than clicking "attach files".
Cheers.
😁👍

A little trip to a rare location - a Catholic cemetery, within a massive Buddhist one - this morning.

Hahahaha...
You've got the wrong end of the stick.
This thread is, when all is said and done, the most challenging possible.

Go on...
Find a grave and make it less grave!
