Angles best shot with a Drone

Another one from me, to try to gather some momentum.

This was shot inside the exclusion zone (with permission), while the volcano ahead was at level 1 alert.

All approach roads were closed and locked.

The local officer said, "You can fly your drone, but if you crash it, we're not going to go and get it!" 😳1000008858.jpg

This one was at a WW2 kamikaze memorial museum, near me.

Inside, there are dozens and dozens of photos of "men" from age 19, taken just before they took off from here to "die for the Emperor".

Tragic beyond words.

But outside, there are a few planes which made it through the madness.1000008860.jpg

Mini 2 - I don't use it much anymore tbh

Yep.
I did a complete stop from around June 2019 until now.
It's weird, but since FoP appeared, I've started charging every battery I have for every "toy" capable of taking photos/video 😁

Mostly flying the Mavic 3 these days, but still have a Mavic 2 Pro. Here is fall in upstate NY at the place called Lake Desolation with the Mavic 2 Pro.

Absolutely breathtaking! The way the Mavic 2 Pro has captured the fall colors over Lake Desolation is stunning. The blend of oranges, reds, and yellows creates a truly mesmerizing view. Have you been exploring this area long, or was this a serendipitous find? The beauty of upstate NY never ceases to amaze!

Thank you. I lived in that area for many years and enjoyed exploring the lesser known areas of the southern Adirondacks. The fall colors can be magical.

Time for a thread-boost.

Although I'm yet to recharge my drone batteries because the stills cameras are having a good workout at the moment.

My adopted home-city ❤️

I have been flying drones for a few years now, I started with a DJI Phantom 3 Standard, then a Xiaomi Fimi X8 SE and now a DJI Air 2S.

All three drones had their good and bad points but I really like my Air 2S; however, over the past couple of years I haven't flown it much due to a number of reasons; however, I hope to change that this year.

I have gone back through my Lightroom catalogue and I will share some of my images with you (if you don't mind).

These three images are from a trip along the 'Dunn's Track' in the southern Goldfields Region of Western Australia and goes from Ravensthorpe to the old townsite of Dundas and is approximately 230 km through very remote country. The track was originally made in the late 1800 for people to travel from Albany to the southern Goldfield Region looking for gold.

One the track.

Our campsite at the old townsite of Dundas.

The trip along the track took about 8 hours and the temp was about 40 degrees Celsius - hence why all of the bonnets are up on our cars to allow the heat to escape which allows the engine to cool down and also prevents critters such as rodents and snakes crawling up inside the engine to keep warm :giggle:

Karl,
The more the merrier 🤩👍

I drowned my first DJI Mavic Pro in a 44m deep dam, and never changed model after its replacement turned up.

Don't know why, but with all the other gear (toys 😉) I have for recording images, the Mavic simply feels like something I should cherish...
🤔

Anyway, love your shots so far.

Please do add more...
...and when I get the chance, I'll recharge my batteries and add some new shots myself 😃

An autumnal shot above a sports ground which has now decided to ban drones, RC cars, bicycles, etc....

ALL the yellow fields in this image were rice paddies.
This flight was for a mate who lives in one of the houses nearby...
...because now, all of it has become housing.

For a population in sharp decline, I'm still seeing paddy-field after paddy-field sold, and turned into housing.
🤔
