This page is essentially my efforts to understand the possibilities available with tilt and shift lenses, otherwise known as perspective control lenses, that are available for 35mm SLR/DSLR cameras. This was written around 2008 and was originally a page on my personal web site.
It consists of equations, diagrams and plots. These are useful for understanding but not intended to be used in practical photography.
Also included are two references that are no longer available from the original URLs, these remain the copyright of the respective authors.
